My kids should be happy

I have received a lot of kidding and subtle harrassment about my interest in Kdramas. My adult kids think I maybe have gone a bit too far. Well, I was thrilled to send them a recent article from The New York Times that should make them reexamine their opinion of me.

Title of letter addressed to the Ethicist Columnist in the December 11, 2023 issue was
"My 70-Year-Old Mother Spends Too Much on Porn. What Should I Say?"
I think my hobby is definitely coming up short compared to this person's mom. And shouldn't it be Ethics Columnist and not Ethicist Columnist? - Judy
Nope, fellow blogger. It is a column on ethics, but the person writing it is an ethicist. Shall we start a grammar sparring contest? - Pat Ha! You're the one who is always putting the punctuation on the wrong side of the parentheses. And we VERIFIED it with your English Teacher Daughter! I'm hoping my Philosophy Professor son who teaches Ethics will chime in here. But then again, I hope my Phylosophy Professor son is reading the blog; probably a stretch... - Judy

'Aforementioned son' means the won who teaches Ethics! He's visiting... so I could strong-arm him into reading the blog; otherwise it would have been hopeless! (Oldest son couldn't be strong armed even if he were visiting!)
Wait, you’re a guest, and you’re a son? Since I don’t have sons, you must be one of Judy’s. Name, please!
Pleasantly, this is a case where both Pat and Judy are correct. But perhaps there are stylistic considerations that push towards one title rather than another... On a related matter, I wonder if the Korean Herald has an Ethics column? -- the aforementioned son.
I loved your debate !!!
