We should bring back Hanboks for women; the wonderful, silk dresses worn in the Joseon Period and still today for formal occasions. Hanboks have full, bell-shaped skirts with a contrasting top and can be adorned with bows or tassel ornaments. The colors that are used in these dresses can be unusual and stunning! Check out Mr Sunshine for a fashion show of beautiful hanboks.
By the way, the Joseon Period is from 1392 until 1910. Korean history is fascinating and that's one of the things you will learn about and enjoy if you watch Kdramas!
For the men the headwear was particular striking. Depending on status in the community you wore a variety of hats. In fact, hair in general has special status in traditional Korean society and certainly during the Joseon Period it was unusual to cut it into western hairstyles.

I had no idea the Joseon Period lasted that long! The Hanboks are beautiful, but it would make playing sports a little difficult.
I could see this as formal wear or more dressy wear but not for daily. I'd definitely want to change the color combination as well! One nice thing - we wouldn't have to worry about the shoes matching the dress as we could wear comfy slippers or trainers and no-one would know. Ha!
Those hanboks certainly cover a multitude of sins!
Oh my, Judy. It is definitely beautiful but being very much ‘function before form’ , all I see is restriction!!
