It's Pat and I’m sitting here in my KDRAMA MAMA socks. Tomorrow when I go to line dance, my dance shoes will be in my KDRAMA MAMA bag. Yes, yes, I know the companies who manufactured these items haven’t read our blog yet and changed their products to reflect the KDRAMA GMAMA (yes with a G) phenomenon that we are.... and yes, yes, I am just as upset as you are. What’s a World Wide Influencer to do? Judy and I ponder this dilemma on a daily basis. Sigh…

We must soldier on!
Since we purchased our BTS tickets, the swag has gotten out of hand.

It's Judy. That last line is a gross understatement in my opinon. There are 8 of us attending the Stanford BTS Concert in May and I have not seen such a feeding frenzy as this group of women has demonstrated. Their are multiple messages alerting the group to where we might find BTS Swag..... dashing around California looking for inventory.... price comparisons.... is it the 'right' light stick.... having husbands go searching....

I know that bands and concerts have always generated some collectibles but Kpop takes it to a whole new level. There are stickers, there are face cards, there are key chains, there are posters, there are outfits, there is headwear, there are pajamas, there is absolutely everything available for fans to spend money on. Don't think for a moment that our group of mature fans isn't getting into the spirit!

Well, you snooze, you lose. I hadn’t finished this post when Judy jumped in and said exactly what I had in mind. Great minds think alike!
Our BTS group has gone nuts, and it’s been so much fun to be a part of it. Just trying to nail down a light stick for the concert (yes, I did beg my sister to look for one in her home town of Minneapolis…to no avail) has been a daily pursuit. I find myself googling Target constantly to see if any have been restocked near me. And the term “near me” has taken on a whole new meaning. It can mean a Target 40 miles away!
Some in our group have even purchased new shoes in PURPLE! They will remain nameless here to protect their identities. ~ Pat

See? You learn lots of stuff from the Gmamas!
You will be able to buy a light stick at the concert venue. Christine and I bought them mid-day on concert day. There was no line at the merch booth near the stadium. I saw they were plentiful in Tampa and they were plentiful in El Paso. Other things sold out. The jerseys were especially popular and sold out within the first hour each day. No worries about the light sticks though!
The frenzy is on! At my local Target in a Minneapolis suburb, alas, there have been no light sticks, and in fact, I just noticed that they have taken down their big BTS display 🙁 But before they did, I nabbed a pair of BTS socks! But now you have Gmama socks? At the concert, I may have to wear one of each! I bought a clear bag with trim in purple to bring along, but someone has purple shoes? That sounds beautiful, and I can't wait to see them!
