The boys are back. Yes, as you know, BTS performed live in March for the first time in almost 4 years to great fanfare. I thought we might talk about their clothes. Since their early days BTS has had fabulous costume designers. (Almost as good as their choreographers and that's saying a lot.) They pull out the most interesting and outrageous clothes for the group that it's great fun to see what they wear. Unlike the Boy Bands of the 60's when evereyone was dressed identically the new norm is to blend but each person be distinctive.

Well this Arirang Tour is no exception. The clothing was specially designed by the Korean designer Jay Songzio. Songzio Stores are found in Seoul and major cities around the world, but none in Tucson. (Wonder why not?) Their outfits are titled 'Lyrical Armor' that symbolize the spirit of Korean history from the armor of Goryeo Period clear through the sumptious silks of Joseon Period and today. The white portions of their costumes are said to be evocative of hanboks; the leather speak to the protective armor of the past.
No matter what you put these guys in, they look and dance pretty well. Check out some of their previous outfits! ~ Judy

Wow! Look how their style has changed! They don’t look like kids anymore, they look like the cool sophisticated men they are. It’s very interesting how their current choice of clothing is more than just rags, as we say here. ~ Pat

They are truly a group of hotties!
