*nope I’d never seen one before this either. They are a crocheted or knitted stuffed toy, patterned after the Japanese craft of amigurimi.
This is what my good friend gifted me after she decorated one at a wedding. Isn’t it adorable?
You know that time between the end of the ceremony and the rest of the festivities when there is a cocktail hour and the bridal party is taking pictures and you’ve eaten and drunk your fill? Well, the wedding my friend went to took care of all that by having cute crafts to do and games to play.
All the Woobles there had been hand crocheted by the mother of the bride. (Amazing!) Guests could then choose how to adorn these adorable little creatures. My friend knows me very well, so she added the glasses, my name (duh), and the Kdrama conversation bubble. Unbeknownst to her, the bride’s mom is crazy for Kdramas.
I’ve got to meet her and tell her all about the blog, don’t you think? I might even have to learn how to crochet! ~ Pat
What's interesting to me about this is that Koreans, and other Asians, are well-known for having little 'danglies' on their purses or bags. Labubus are the big rage right now. And it's not just middle school girls who do this but grown men and women! Again, another typical Asian behavior that Americans don't tend to do. ~ Judy

A 'monster' labubu. Wonder if my boys would like one to attach to their backpacks?
Judy, my wooble is cuter than your labubu. Just saying… Pat

Actually, one of our followers sent the attached photo.... It's not just Koreans!!! And she says that she gets people stopping her in other countries who can identify these things. I guess I'm behind the times, aren't I? ~ Judy
That is super cute
