Abang Yoli's Chef/Owner.... Pat has assured me that he is of legal age and not 15.
Lucky Barbara and me. I was back in Minneapolis visiting my daughter, and Barbara and I hit Abang Yoli for lunch. I did a blog post on this last year but for those of you who didn’t read it, here is a catch up. Jamie Yoo is the energetic young owner of this stand alone restaurant in Minnetonka, MN. He’s in his mid 30’s, married with a toddler son, and a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. Oh, and his food is fabulous!

Of course his Korean fried chicken is the best - it was voted Best Fried Chicken Minneapolis Readers Choice 2025 - but I always go for the grilled sweet potatoes with chili crisp, the grilled tofu ssam (Korean dish where grilled food, rice, and kimchi are wrapped in a leafy vegetable), and the kimchi slaw. Of course I want everything on the menu but restraint is required, right? Barbara’s the lucky one. We can never finish what we order, so she takes it home to finish later.
Don’t forget I never would have tried this restaurant if I hadn’t watched Kdramas. Yep, it’s all connected! ~ Pat

Good grief... why am I not included in these lunches? Might be worth a round trip flight to Minneapolis. ~ Judy

Yay for the shout-out to brilliant Chef Jamie! Pat and I have had some fabulous lunches there, and yes, I do appreciate the leftovers :D I think it's time for another trip...
