NEW BADDIE

I’ve already written about Kim Eui-sung, the quintessential bad guy in Kdramas. For those of you who want to reread it, it’s titled MR. DESPICABLE. Now it’s time to add his female counterpart. Her name is Kang Han-na. She’s been cast as the worst ever in three Kdramas I’ve seen, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, Bon Appetit, Your Majesty, and most recently in Cashero. I have to say it’s so much fun to hate her. Considering the current political situation in this country now, it’s kind of nice to transfer some of my ire to a pretend character. Enough said.

How does someone this attractive get cast in these roles? She does have an excellent sneer that makes her seem like a baddie, but she’s also had many roles where she’s portraying a good person. I just don’t get it. I wonder if she’s getting typecast the way her male counterpart did. ~ Pat

Well, I've watched all those shows and hardly noticed she was in all of them. Note to self: Pay attention to female actors from now on. ~ Judy
