Are they Blind?

It's Judy. If you watch as many Kdramas as Pat and I have you'll begin to notice interesting things. In many shows the actors apparently are blind... or at least have what I call Situational Blindness. In today's show - Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo - the gorgeous lead, Lee Soong-gi, wakes up & looks around the room for his love interest, played by IU. He doesn't seem to notice that she is sitting on the end of his bed less than 5 feet away for several seconds. Really? You can't see her?

One of the few female actors I know: IU and Lee Soong-gi with his wonderful eyes.
Another scene will involve someone walking outside and not noticing the other actor until they're about 10 feet away when suddenly their eyes lock & they see the person. Or, the scene where the two leads are having a serious discussion but the 3rd lead (who is, of course, the 'other' person in the love triangle) will be standing at the side of the room... yet no one notices. Same goes for the bad guys.... they'll be lurking within feet of the leads yet no one seems to be aware!
Now, you would think that this type of scene would cause me to be less enthusiastic about Kdramas. You would be wrong. I actually enjoy seeing these scenes and find them kind of endearing.... they're such classic hallmarks of Kdramas you just have to go with the flow & enjoy them!
If you lived with the guy I live with, this happens on a daily basis. He’s such a nice guy but CLUELESS when it comes to seeing what is just in front of him. Case in point: when I lived across the street from you, Judy, I finished a needlepoint-gorgeous I might add- had it framed and hung in the front hall of our house. He NEVER noticed it! ~Pat
