FAVORITE DAUGHTER
I’ve got three daughters. Yes, I love them all dearly and equally. But now I have a FAVORITE, and let me tell you why. It’s because she actually reads this blog and commented on a post I did. This is astounding!
Judy and I spend an inordinate amount of time kvetching over the fact that our kids don’t read the blog, or if they do, they don’t do it consistently. In some nutty way we kind of like our little pity party. It’s a club we enjoy being part of. Actually, since it’s my daughter who is a high school English teacher who reads the blog, let me rephrase that: it’s a club of which we enjoy being a part.
Now I get to leave Judy in the lurch and crow about my new favorite daughter. I’d crow about her all the time - well, most all the time - anyway, but considering she doesn’t watch Kdramas and doesn’t follow Kpop, it’s extra special to me that she has taken the time to read what we write. Hey, Louie, is that last sentence a run on sentence? LMK! ~ Pat

What??!!! Was it YOUR kid that made that great comment on the recent blog post? Here I thought, maybe, just maybe one of my 3 children deigned to visit the site.... I should have guessed that was a fantasy on my part. ~ Judy

Love this! And your last sentence was not a run-on, MAMA. You perfectly connected an infinitive phrase and multiple independent clauses with a conjunction and commas! Judy—maybe you can teach me how to say that ⬆️ in Korean?!
