Pat and I are suffering. It's the middle of summer and we are suffering from Kdrama Withdrawal. Just like in the USA there seems to be a lull in summertime entertainment. And that means we are frustrated!
Trying to be patient for upcoming shows including:
Concrete Utopia (film with favorite Lee Byung-hun)
DP2 (with favorite Jung Hae-in even though he won't smile much in this one)
Doona (with very good Bae Suzy)
Daily Dose of Sunshine (set in a psychiatric ward...what could go wrong?)
Destined with You (no clue if it'll be good; but it's at least a rom-com)
Diva of the Deserted Island (big time favorite Park Eun-bin so I have high hopes)
Will summer never end?
Pat here. Judy described what we’re going through now as ‘THE DOLDRUMS,’ and she’s so right. I don’t tell her very often that she’s correct, so in a twisted way she must love this! (Yes I do!) We’re hanging in there, watching some kdramas that are good but just not great. I’ve actually done the unthinkable and pulled a DNF (that’s DID NOT FINISH in Judy speak) for a few. Since beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I’m not going to divulge which ones haven’t sent me over the moon. Hey, you might love them!
One I’ve just started that won’t be put in the DNF pile is ‘The Rookie Historian’. It’s got it all: history, romance, comedy, and, I’m even hoping, HAND HOLDING. fingers crossed!

I just finished rewatching Crash Landing on You. And it was even better the second time around. It’s the show that got me hooked on KDramas. So maybe summer is the time to go back and watch some reruns. It was fun to go back and be with my favorite characters again.
Sorry you ladies have the blues while waiting for new shows and the next seasons of your favorites.
It seems like a great time to watch shows with English-speaking characters, or have you forgotten all about those? Besides staying somewhat up-to-date on what else is out there, it will give your eyes and your brain a break from reading subtitles while trying to see the actors' expressions before the scene changes.
