Koreans are definitely into personality tests... not only do they categorize themselves amongst acquaintances but they'll also include this information on job interviews! The latest trend is something being called Teto vs Egen. (Since you religiously read this blog you already know about the MBTI Personality Tests and Blood Type Personality Indicators.... but just in case you forgot I'll remind you.)
MBTI stands for Myers-Brigg Type Indicator. It's a test that classifies you into perhaps 12-16 categories that reflect things like intuition, intro- or extrovert, and how you approach problems. It is no surprise to me that I am an INTJ; introverted, logical, innovative, independent..... an all-round fabulous person.
I've done this test twice with completely different outcomes. I think i need to take it again to see what it says about me. Perhaps I'm in a class by myself.~Pat
Blood Type. Again, the type of blood you have determines your personality. However, when I look up mine it's totally wrong... Type A blood means I'm supposed to be timid & a perfectionist. One good trait is that I'm supposed to hold my liquor well. Naturally I don't love the Blood Type indicator since it doesn't put me in a great light, unless you want to go bar-hopping.
I'm trying to hold my tongue and be tactful and diplomatic. Is "Bunkum" too strong a word here? ~ Pat
And now we have Teto vs Egen. These are tied to your hormonal levels.... not appearance!! Teto is derived from testosterone and Egen is from estrogen. An Egen woman would be girly and feminine whereas a Teto woman might be bold and adventurous. An Egen man would be sensitive and kind whereas a Teto man would be masculine and more athletic. I haven't had my hormones checked but I'm guessing I'm more of a Teto type woman. In fact, I don't really know many Egen women.... perhaps that shows you the kind of women I befriend!
Judy, you forgot to say that at your advanced age you are out of hormones. Zippo. None. Gone. That being said-again I'm hoping in a kindly manner-I always remember how Carly Simon described James Taylor when they were married as a man who was 'in touch with his feminine side.' I guess he was a Egen type man. Works for me! ~ Pat
And to clarify I had a great time picking these photos out! I was able to predict their Egen vs Teto factor pretty reliably. Of course there are no women. I mean, why would I look for that?
I believe this is called "internalized misogyny lite." This is a term that describes women who show a preference for men in professional or social settings. You definitely prefer the guys when we're discussing Kdramas. You're not a total misogynist, so I made up a new category to fit you. (Hey, maybe this AI stuff isn't so bad after all!) ~ Pat
All those guys are, as Judy puts it, "gorgeous," but I prefer the showering scenes in the previous post. Neither Pat nor Judy have told us which shows have those scenes in them. I just keep watching them over and over and over on the blog.
