Real Time Editing!

It's Pat & I’m in Tucson, staying at Judy’s. It’s been lots of fun. Probably best for her is that I cooked! I’m even leaving her the special, homemade cookies I brought with me.

Best for me is that we are editing what we’re writing for this blog across the kitchen table from each other! Our usual process is that we write our own individual posts, then we text each other to check them out, make additions and corrections, redo the post, and finally, Judy schedules them to be published. If I’ve taken a photo that I think needs to be added, I send it to her and she does it. Over the years we’ve gotten more savvy and put my comments in red ink.

Smooth, right? Not really! I’m usually calling Judy because I have a question, and she’s off quilting, or exercising, or up to no good while I’m sitting at home, patiently waiting for her to get back to me. Sigh…

This is extra fun doing it in real time. Yes, we’re still “discussing,” yes, we’re still “debating,” and yes, we’re still “disagreeing.” But it’s so much better face to face!
