REGIFTING

Pat here... See this pic of my latest acquisition? It’s a regift from friend Joan who hosts many international exchange students.

Several years ago she and her husband had two students from Korea who gave them this spoon and chopstick set.

When Joan asked to see what Korean money looked like, they gave her this 1000 won note. Until I told her it was worth about $.72, she had no idea of its value. (In her defense, even though I was in Korea in April, I didn’t remember the monetary value either!)

Lucky me, when she knew she’d never use the set, I became the owner. Of course the spoons will get used, I’ll struggle with the chopsticks, and I’ll save the money for my next trip to Korea!
