REUNION!!! & 400!!

A miracle happened, and it wasn't even Christmas.

As this is our 400th post, it’s going to be a doozy… for us, that is. For our 100th, 200th, and 300th posts, we talked about our fascination with Kdramas, how our tastes have evolved and changed (actually, for Judy this isn’t true. She’s just as besotted with hot Korean men more than ever), how much we have enjoyed this long distance partnership, you know, the usual love fest for what we’re doing.

For this our 400th post, we made it even more memorable by meeting up in Munich, Germany, in early November. Judy was finishing up a five week house exchange south of Munich, and I was ending a trip to Turkey and Berlin with my husband, sister, and brother in law. Our plane back to the States left from Munich, and this was the perfect opportunity to see Judy and catch up.

The main train station in Munich! We navigated successfully.... kind of.

Thanks to modern conveniences like cell phones that actually work overseas - mine, not Judy’s - google maps and travel directions, and WhatsApp, we met close to our hotel and spent the day with Judy. She was like our very own free travel guide!

I was impressed by her facility with Korean. She waylaid the Korean family sitting next to us, asked them if they were Korean, and then proceeded to jabber away. I THINK it was Korean she was speaking. They kept nodding in her direction, but who really knows? Maybe they were just being polite…

It’s amazing how easy it is to slip back into a relationship with someone you’ve known for so long. That’s how the day was for us. We had a fun time and had lots to talk about. As you are aware, majority of our blog posts are due to Judy. She’s the one who has got us onto Instagram and Facebook to try to make us more accessible. We hope to continue this blog until we’ve written 500 posts, so stay tuned. ~ Pat

I have to admit that I fought this reunion idea for a while. I mean, take a 4 hour train trip to spend the day with me? Why bother? But, Pat insisted and I must say it turned out more fun than I expected. My house exchange couple gave us a few suggestions & since we mainly just wanted to talk it was easy. And Pat's right....we had no awkward pauses in the conversation! Good friends for sure! ~ Judy

Family is made up of those you love. I'd say Judy and Pat are sisters who get along well.
