SARAH

It's Pat! Lucky me, I found Sarah when I needed to get some clothes cleaned and mending done. Sarah is the owner of SARAH’S ALTERATIONS & ECO CLEANERS in Davis, CA. Yep, you guessed it. She’s Korean. She came here when she was a young woman with her father. Her mother and siblings came three years later.. She has a much younger sister who owns a restaurant around the corner from her shop. Sarah brings her 91 year old mother to work with her. She sits in a wheel chair and never complains…to me, that is.

I’d been going to Sarah’s for several years before I had the good sense to ask her if she was Korean. She’s got so many interesting stories but is usually too busy to talk. We always manage to talk about Kdramas, though! The last time I stopped by I asked her if she could give me a Kdrama recommendation. Because she watches in Korean (and I don’t), trying to get the English name can be a challenge. However, she came through with ‘Vagabond’, and I’m tearing into it tonight. Thanks, Sarah!

Update: my husband and I are almost finished with Vagabond. It’s fantastic. I’m going to start begging her for another show soon.
