Judy here. My very good friend from Germany is nuts. As we were visiting an Asian Market Night in Tucson she told me that I need to stop using the word Terrific in my blog posts. She claims that Terrific is an outdated term and makes me look like a fuddy duddy. (My term; not hers.)
I pointed out to her that, in fact, I am a grandma and Terrific is still in my vocabulary. But to make her feel better, instead of Terrific I may begin using Groovy or Wicked or Rad or Ace or Daebak or Keen or Hot or Magnificent or...

Actually "terrific" originally meant - terrifying. So words change overtime. So as long as the meaning is clear you can use whatever you like. "groovy" well that was a 60s saying so I think that is really outdated but you never know with words - it could make a comeback.😜
I can't stop laughing! I use terrific all the time . I'm 76!!! Hahaha. I accidentally used daebak the other day and of course my friend looked completely blank. TERRIFIC!
