TWO IN ONE DAY!

Judy and I have been at this blog for almost 500 posts. It’s been a lot of work! We’re so grateful for everyone who takes the time to follow us and comment (please, more of that would be wonderful) that we actually celebrate when we get new followers. Judy personally writes everyone, although we’re not sure people actually see them.

She has worked extra hard to get us on Facebook and Instagram. We’ve toyed with the idea of a podcast but the logistics are too complicated because we live so far apart. People have suggested other ideas, but we just don’t have what it takes to make them work. I mean, really, could you see us on TIK TOK? No, neither could we.

It's hard to find a photo that fits here.... There are plenty of images that have things like '1,000 followers' or '3k' likes; but not a lot of images that are down in the hundreds.... Still, we consistently get about 260 separate people reading our blog every month. For two grandmas we think that's pretty great.

This makes our followers even more dear to us.

So yesterday when we had TWO NEW FOLLOWERS - shout out to Dalia and Dr. Andy - it was like we had won the lottery. Two followers in one day. Woohoo! This gives us just the boost we need to keep going. Thanks to all of you. ~ Pat

Pat's correct. I diligently send a 'welcome' email to all new followers. Naturally they rarely write me back. But that hasn't deterred us and it's still exciting to get new people on the blog. In this case Pat told me about talking the blog up to her Trivia 'leader' named Andy & my lightbulb came on because the new follower had an A in his email..... yep, it was Andy. And then up pops Dalia! Oh the thrill of victory! ~ Judy
