It's Pat. While Judy has been turning out posts for this blog like a writer with a deadline for a daily newspaper column, I’ve been slaving away at my other passion: slacking.
Well, that’s not necessarily true, but it’s not not true either. Confused? Read on!
Since I feel I have to justify my lack of contribution to this blog, this is what I have been doing. READING. Remember reading, dear followers? It’s taken precedence over Kdramas for the past month or so, and I find I’ve become addicted to it.

This is not any run of the mill addiction. It’s an addiction to an author whose books are impossible to find. His name is Oswald Wynd, and the first book I read by him I bought in the early 1980’s. It’s titled ‘The Ginger Tree.’ After I read it, I put it on the bookshelf and forgot about for about 40 years. I reread it about a a year ago and decided to do a deep dive to find more of Mr. Wynd’s books. This was next to impossible.
Luckily, my local public library - shout out to libraries everywhere - hooked me up with a statewide search, and I found 8 of his books at the San Diego Public Library. I’m enthralled. All these books are set in Asia between the early 1900’s and the 1960’s. To justify reading them and taking time away from watching and posting about Kdramas here, I try to find at least one mention of Korea in these books, and I’ve been somewhat successful.
So, Judy, thank for taking a big one for the team. Two more books to go, and I’m back at it.

Changing up the routine is good!
I love reading too:)
