Venn Diagram

Pat here. I’m sure everyone knows what a Venn diagram is, but here is a refresher defintion: a series of overlapping circles to show relationships between two or more sets of items.
These days I’m thinking a lot about the interconnection between Kdramas and everything else in my life. I’ve come up with my own Venn diagram, and here it is. I’m not that well versed in Venn diagrams, so I had to work very hard to make this one make sense…even to me! (I should have just titled this ‘Ripples’ and let it go at that. It certainly would have been easier.)

This graphic was created by Pat. You can tell because it's in black & white with virtually no visual appeal. I love her but she could ramp up her artwork, don't you think? - Judy.
At the center of my Venn diagram is, of course, Kdramas. All the Kdramas I watch connect with many of my friendships, a lot of my interests, and an overriding passion for all things Asian, and these days mostly Korean culture.
Although this is self explanatory, let me give you a few examples of what I’m trying to say.
Several of my Kdrama buddies and I are going to Korean Heritage Night at Oracle Park when the San Francisco Giants host the Arizona Diamondbacks. Would I ever have contemplated this without the influence of Kdramas? In a word, NOPE.
Last April I went to Korea. Korea wasn’t even on my bucket list…until I started watching Kdramas!
Korean spoons have taken over my cutlery decor. Where did I learn about Korean spoons? Kdramas, of course!
When I go to San Francisco, where do I always try to eat? At a Korean restaurant, naturally, which I saw plenty of when watching Kdramas. And guess what? I always have kimchi in my refrigerator, and I mean both kinds.*
You can see the list is endless. In other words, Venn diagram justified!
*cabbage kimchi and radish kimchi
Whoa! This is fascinating to me. Because Pat is knowledgeable and interested in food she has kimchi in her fridge, uses here Korean spoons routinely, and eats at Korean restaurants lots more than I do! In contrast, I am not into food like Pat...... so what do I have? Music! My Playlist now has several hours of Korean music on it & my Shazam feed has several songs queued up for me to review and purchase if desired. See? There's something for everyone. ~ Judy
Judy, I’m going to start listening to your play list. BTW, your interest in music would fit nicely in your Venn diagram…all due to Kdramas!

Korean spoons are definitely perfect to eat out of the ice cream container directly. Ahhh the advantages of living alone!
Great post! I worship Korean spoons :) Seriously, it's funny how happy they make me. They are the perfect design. I need to find radish kimchi. That sounds refreshing! At this moment, I'm at my car mechanic's in Eden Prairie. As long as I'm out here, I might as well swing by Asia Mall :)
