WHY NOT?

This might be a form of sacrilege, but I think I found a use for those infernal Korean chopsticks.
They work great at digging candle wax out of menorahs. I’m not kidding!
I’ve been using chopsticks since we lived in Taiwan in the early 1970’s, and I considered myself a proficient chopstick user until I went to Korea last April. Those thin, metal utensils became an exercise in frustration. I finally gave up and speared the food instead. Who knew they could be used this way?
You know the old saying…necessity is the mother of invention. We recently had a Chanukah get together, and everyone brought a menorah. Guess what? Everyone happily used my Korean chopsticks to do what I had. ~ Pat
My family tends to just let the wax build up; you know, more exciting in case the whole shebang goes up in flames.... And I am particularly thrilled to say that I - in contrast to Pat -can successfully use Korean chopsticks... kind of. I am American you know. ~ Judy
