Wondering about my friends.

Being the upbeat, friendly, outgoing person that I think I can be, I naturally recommended Kdramas to my circle of friends. All of them nodded their heads and murmured positive reactions.
Then they promptly ignored me. I sounded like a broken record..... 'You will love this...' 'I'm having such fun....' 'I laughed out loud....' and on and on. Yep, they still ignored me. A lesser person would have taken this the wrong way. Do my friends really disregard everything I say? Are my tastes so bad that no one will listen to me? These ugly thoughts ran through my head.
After weeks and weeks of this I finally got a sister-in-law to try it....she hated the subtitles. Again weeks pass and finally I hit pay dirt! My first cousin finally takes the bait & watches Mr Sunshine! And, miracle of miracles, he actually liked it. I felt reaffirmed and confident that there are people out there who like what I like.
Now my friends are learning that I'm planning on becoming an International Influencer and dominate the world of Kdrama blogs and some of them are thinking of watching my recommended shows. Not actually watching.... just thinking of watching. <sigh

Don't give up, give people time. I listened and started watching... just at a much slower pace than you'd like haha. #3 has watched with you and I'm sure others will soon join too. Push those negative thoughts out of your head!
I have the same problem. My KDramas make me so happy, but only a few of my friends have actually watched one of them. I tell them to watch 3 episodes to get to know the characters and to disregard some of the bizarre plots. But after three episodes, you’re hooked! I wish they would believe me. I do have a friend in Montana that I got to watch Crash Landing On You. She loved it and is hooked too. Now her husband just shakes his head and says she’s watching her “soaps”. Well - it’s time for episode 10 of Vincenzo! Laura
