Yes, if you have a large plastic container about 30" across and perhaps 12" deep you can sell that washing machine and get back to a simpler way of life. AND, you can involve your friends! Take the container outside, fill it with soapy water, add dirty clothes & go at it! Just step

in & walk around, squishing the laundry between your feet and toes. No more will your washer become out-of-balance, no more will you use unnecessary electricity... follow the lead shown in Kdramas & go for it! I especially like it when the 'couple' does this together... Perhaps your husband would care to join you too?

Actually this method sounds a lot easier and smarter than the old washboard method. You get to use your body weight instead of your arms; makes sense to me! Somehow I doubt in super-modern Korea you actually see this much but it's fun to notice in Kdramas! ~ Judy

Pat here. Judy, when you start making your kimchi -or any food, really- in a large plastic or metal tub and using those see through plastic gloves, then I know to get worried!
